I work closely with structural engineers (and often local Manchester suppliers) to explore formats that protect the product, reduce material waste, and enhance the unboxing experience.
3. Visual Exploration
This is where the magic happens. I develop multiple creative routes some safe, some bold. I consider colour psychology, typography, and tactility.
4. 3D Visualisation
Flat mock-ups can deceive. I build photo-realistic 3D renders to view the design in the round and under retail lighting conditions.
5. Prototyping & Testing
Paper is not board. Board is not plastic. I insist on physical prototypes. We check fitment, fold quality, and how ink
6. Artworking & Technical Delivery
This is the least glamorous but most vital stage. I prepare print-ready artwork with absolute precision spot colours, die-lines, bleed, and braille if required. I act as the bridge between your brand and the production line.
7. The Shelf Moment
There is no greater satisfaction than seeing a project I’ve designed sitting in a retail environment, being picked up, considered, and purchased. That moment is the culmination of research, craft, and commercial thinking.
